Who needs a license?

Texefex uses a simple two-tier license: free for personal use, and a paid license for everything else.

Rule of thumb: if you are using Texefex to make money, or on behalf of an organization rather than for yourself personally, a license is required.

You Don't Need a License If…

Texefex is free to use for personal and home use. If you are using Texefex on your own computer for non-commercial purposes, no license purchase is required. This includes, for example:

Creating text effects for your own website, blog or social media posts
Personal projects, hobby use or learning
Any use where you are not being paid and are not representing a company or organization

You Need a License If…

Any use of Texefex that is not personal/home use requires a paid license. This includes, for example:

Using Texefex at work, or on a computer owned by an employer
Using Texefex within a business, non-profit, government agency or other organization
Using Texefex to create content for clients, or as part of a paid service
Deploying Texefex on multiple computers within an organization

Registration

A license can be purchased online at www.blacksunsoftware.com.

We accept payment via PayPal. You can use your PayPal balance, or pay with a credit card through PayPal — no PayPal account is required.

Receiving Your Code

After registration we will send you a license code by email. This could take up to 24 hours (but usually faster).
