Texefex 5.0

Output

RTF Format (Rich Text Format)

The standard output (as it is displayed in the "Text Input & Output" tab) is in the RTF format (Rich Text Format), which means that if you copy/paste this kind of text, the colors are copied with it.

A lot of programs support the RTF format. Frequently used examples are Wordpad, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a lot more.

An example that doesn't support it is Notepad. This program only supports plain text, so you cannot use any colors here.

In order to use the output from Texefex in RTF format, you can simply copy/paste the output from the "Text Input & Output" tab into the desired application.

HTML Output

Texefex also supports output in HTML format (Hypertext Markup Language). This is the format used primarily to create webpages, but it can also be used for other purposes like emails, presentations and more.

The HTML code that is produced by Texefex is displayed in the "HTML Output" tab, from where you can save it to an HTML file, or simply copy/paste it into an editor or program of your choice.

BBCode Output

Another format that is pretty new is BBCode (or Bulletin Board Code). It consists of a set of tags that you can use to format messages posted on bulletin boards or forums.

The BBCode code that is produced by Texefex is displayed in the "BBCode Output" tab, from where you can copy/paste it into the forum editor.

Most of the time it is clearly displayed whether the forum you're visiting supports BBCode or not. A slight variant of BBCode is UBB Code, which is also supported by Texefex. UBB Code does not support color tags.
